Incidence

 

Breast cancer is the leading site for both sexes in 2010 and ranks 1st among women.

 

The incidence rate starts rising steeply at age 30.

The incidence rate has been steadily rising since 1980, with an average annual percentage change of 0.9%.

 

In 2010, an estimated 12, 262 new cases would occur among women.

 

Three (3.3) out of 100 women would have had a likelihood of getting breast cancer before age 75. (2008)

 

Age-standardized rate per 100,000 = 31.9 (2008)

 

Mortality

In 2010, 4,371 deaths would occur from breast cancer (3rd leading cause of cancer deaths among both sexes and the highest among women.

 

The estimated national age-standardized mortality rate was 11.9 / 100,000 women. (2008)

 

One out of 100 women would have died from breast cancer before age 75. (2008)

    Hi! where did you get that data? I checked the Phil.Cancer Society, Inc site, and I can’t found any 2010 update in their publication list. Do you have a hardcopy?

    mind if you send me the site where i can download the firsthand data? or at least a photocopy of your hardcopy?
